How to blend lecture slides and images into movies

Procedure

Open OOo and export the presentation as html

This creates a png image from each slide

Start kino and read in the movie
Use FX to blend in the slide images

Method 1: create a movie clip out of a slide

create transitions between slide clips

Method 2: embed the slide into a corner of the movie

use Video Transition | ImageMagick Overlay

Method 3: write the slide text as a subtitle in the movie

Method 1: create a movie clip out of a slide

FX | Create | from file (say file 10) | 300 frames | Preview | Render
FX | Create | from file (say file 9) | 300 frames | Preview | Render

Start with the last image and count down -- that way they end up in sequence.

Create a transition between clips 0 and 1, highlight clip 1 and import slide-0:

FX | Create | from file slide-1 | 60 frames | Video Transition Preview | Render

Method 2: embed the slide into a corner of the movie

Use Video Transition | ImageMagick Overlay:
